Ok let's start this review off Artpop track by track....
Aura- LOVE THIS.... this should have been the lead single, the laughing at the beginning is amazing ha ha ha ha ha ha
Venus- This track remind me of something and I can't think what, that said I still love it!!
G.U.Y- Love it, the beat is immense and I love the laziness of it, if you get what I mean (the way she sings I wanna be your G.U.Y? Kinda reminds me of some of the earlier songs on the fame too!
Sexxx dreams- Reallllly not sure on this, some of the lyrics are naff
Jewels n drugs- I liked this on the iTunes festival but the lyrics are almost overshadowed by the music??
MANiCURE- Amazing so so so catchy, really think this would do well on the radio...
Do what you want- Again I love this, one of my favourites!!
Artpop- Seriously? What is this? It's pants
Swine- Im going to throw it out there and I think this could be the follow up to Telephone, so catchy and the beat is amazing
Donatella- This is just carp, I hate it
Fashion- The lyrics are dreadful hate this one too
Mary Jane Holland- Album filler, boring
Dope- I'm undecided on this one, it's ok, but not fabulous!
Gypsy- LOVEEEEEEE IT!!! Words can not express how much I love this song!
Applause- It just doesn't fit in with the album? I like the song, but it's placement leave me confused
So musically the album is bloody brilliant but lyrically, I hate to say it, but it's almost like she hasn't got anything to write about apart from sex and her ego. Plus whoever's mixed some of the songs the music almost drowns her out...
Pains me to score it a 7.9/10 but that's just my opinion....
All that said it's a GREAT album and it completely craps on all the other females in the industry right about now.
